Walsh Spirit React Shoes: The new Spirit React is fully water proof and breathable thanks to a full "HydroGuard" membrane and integrated tongue. HydroGuard is a quality branded membrane from the Sympatex factory and offers high performance unlike many home brand waterproof shoes. The midsole and outsole are the same as on the Spirit Peak offering a dual density midsole and medial support pillar for greater stability in both road and off road climates. The upper has Xmid material for extra durability where needed covering the lace and front foot, this is a rubberized compound found on the Extreme shoes in the hardcore offroad Walsh collection that gives the greatest durability. The rear collar is padded Neoprene and has a kick plate to give great reinforcement when traversing round hills. The shoe is perfect for lite hiking, walking and running in all weather and terrain conditions. NEW Pyra-Grip sole unit - Walsh have taken what is highly regarded as the best gripping off-road sole unit in the outdoor business featured in the iconic "PB" range and redeveloped it for Road AND Off-road use. The trade mark Walsh Pyramid lugs have been shortened and widened to give better stability and a lower centre of gravity, whilst still retaining great grip. The rubber compound is the same as that on the PB range so it's just as durable but more forgiving on the road. Feature on the sole unit include: Larger rear impact zone to ensure secure landing. Rear pronation cleft to isolate any bio mechanical problems to one side or the other giving greater stability. 3/4 TPU plate running through the midsole allowing the forefoot to flex and the rear foot to remain stable. Forefoot flex groves to give great toe off and a comfortable ride. Grip around the entire perimeter of the outsole giving supreme traction through all surfaces. Front facing traction lug to give better toe off grip when running up hill.
